Cheil Nordic was commissioned by SAMSUNG to design, develop and execute a new showroom inside their own office. A showroom for online and offline events to be able to showcase their products in exciting and sophisticated ways.

Nordic Showroom

Located at SAMSUNG’s headquarters in Stockholm, the 300 square-meters space is set up to display their wide range of products. To better highlight each category, the showroom has been divided into three main areas: Home Appliances, Mobile and Business-to-business.

The Home Appliances section has been designed with three main characters in mind; the Family, the Couple and the Freelancer. These personas were selected to help visualize different homes to provide inspiration to all visitors.

The interior reflects the Scandinavian home, while simultaneously keeping the feel of a timeless space with a pastel tone running through the color scheme. Bespoke furniture helps make each room unique.

To intertwine the feel of SAMSUNG’s stores with the showroom, the Mobile area is built to contrast the home environment. With limestone floor and a concrete finish on the walls the space is suffused with a feeling of technology. This is emphasized by the black metal and glass tables that show off phones, tablets, watches and computers. To complete the picture, displays have been set up to show off the latest products.

In order to create an area for Business-to-business that didn’t feel overcrowded, while still showcasing a wide variety of screens, the space is created with a clean and humble design. The walls are a simple grey tone, with LED-lights for illumination and a concrete finish at the top. Here, the floor is the star with a carpet in a purple tone that brings color to the room. To retain the feeling of the space the furnishing has been kept to a minimum. This allows the visitors to an uninhibited view of the products on show.
